A very popular variety with superb foliage that looks great all year round. The new leaves emerge as a glossy deep red and slowly change to olive green when reaching maturity. A mass of small white bell-shaped flowers appear in Spring.
Perfect for the smaller garden or woodland garden and grows well in containers. Great for planting with Camellias and Rhododendrons. Plant in acidic soil with the addition of organic soil improver and use ericaceous compost when planting in pots and containers. Thrives in humus-rich, moist but well-drained, acid soil in full sun or semi-shade.
Prune after flowering in late spring by lightly trimming back shoots to keep a good shape
