Edgeworthia Honey Sunshine
Edgeworthia Honey Sunshine
Edgeworthia chrysantha 'Honey Sunshine'
Paperbush
A lovely and quite unusual deciduous shrub bearing rounded terminal clusters of small, daphne-like fragrant yellow flowers in Spring. The flowers are followed by large exotic leaves on tactile cinnamon-coloured flexible stems.
This plant will work well in both informal cottage gardens and city courtyard spaces and grows well in pots making it a great choice for the patio. It's a rare plant that has some interest all year round with the lovely stems making an interesting feature in winter.
Grow in a sheltered position in full sun or light shade in well drained, acidic soil with a high organic matter content. If growing in pots use a well-drained ericaceous compost and plant no deeper than the top of the root ball. Add some slow-release fertiliser and water when necessary.
