A lovely semi-evergreen, clump forming perennial producing rounded umbels of many trumpet-shaped white flowers from July to September followed by decorative seed heads. African lilies provide valuable late summer interest and are an ideal choice the herbaceous border or planted in a large pot on the patio.
Grow in fertile, moist, but well-drained ground in full sun. Agapanthus flower best when the roots are restricted, so if growing in containers pot on when necessary, in a slightly bigger pot! Cut back any brown or damaged leaves and protect from heavy frost.
