Camellia japonica 'Nuccio's jewel'

A large white peony-form flower appears in spring, changing to a soft, delicate pink around the edges. 'Nuccio's Jewel' is a large form of Camellia with an upright, dense growing habit. Their dark, glossy, evergreen leaves provide a pronounced beauty in any garden.

Camellias are popular for their bold, glossy foliage and abundance of colourful spring flowers.

They grow well in open ground or containers.

Use ericaceous compost and position the top of the rootball level with the ground when planting.

Prune after flowering in late spring. Either lightly for a larger, relaxed shape, or hard for a smaller, compact form.
