Rosemary - Rosmarinus officinalis

This versatile plant doubles up as a herb and shrub, producing highly fragrant, unusual white/blue flowers in summer. The leaves are a very attractive green with a silvery underside. 

Rosemary is a beautiful, very aromatic and compact plant which will look good in any shrub or mixed border, herb garden or containers. It can also be used as a hedging plant. The leaves and flowers can both be used fresh or dried as a medicinal or culinary herb.

Rosemary prefers a poor to moderately fertile soil in full sun. 

Trim back after flowering quite hard to retain a bushy, dense form. This can be done a couple of times between the spring to autumn months.
