Pieris - Flaming Silver

Grown for their superb foliage. The leaves emerge as a glossy pink/red and slowly change to a cream and silver-green variegation when reaching maturity. A mass of small white bell-shaped flowers appear in Spring. Perfect for the smaller garden.

They sit well in ant shrub border or in a peat or woodland garden.

Use ericaceous compost when planting. Thrives in humus-rich, moist but well-drained, acid soil in full sun or semi-shade.

Prune after flowering in late spring, Lightly trim back shoots that spoil the smmetry. Dead head if required.
